This is where you find out more about the folk behind Poetry for All.

Rose Drew, founder and host of Poetry for All, is shouty, political, and surprisingly short for such a big mouth. Anthropologist, archaeologist, performer, book publisher, lecturer, and mum to cool ASD daughter (and the D stands for Difference, not Disorder). Studies human skeletons and wonders why humans pretend we’re all so different, when really, we’re not. She runs Stairwell Books with her partner, Alan. Find out more here.
Alan Gillott, technical support and photographer for Poetry for All, is a poet, writer, composer, and singer well known throughout the North East. His most recent book is ‘Beyond the Window’ (Fighting Cock Press); he has a following as a music and art critic and is known for his lyrical style based on internal structures. His observational poetry often highlights injustice and institutional irresponsibility. He runs Stairwell Books with his partner, Rose. Find out more here.
Fay Roberts, host and web-wrangler for Poetry for All, is a performance poet, musician, storyteller, events host, accidental voice actor, Artistic Director for Spoken Word at PBH’s Free Fringe, and an enormous geek. During weekdays, ze persuades people to make lists and say no to shiny things. For every role, there is a different hat, and a spreadsheet to match. Zir first full collection, Spectral, came out with Burning Eye in March 2022, and ze describes it as “a kind of poetry concept album, with illustrations”.
