Events

The next Poetry for All event will take place in the National Centre for Early Music, Walmgate York YO1 9TL on Friday 24 November, beginning at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 7:00pm. Entry is £7, concessions £5; carers are free. The NCEM is fully wheelchair accessible, and will have a bar for wine, beer and juice. BSL Interpretation will be provided for all performances, along with text projected on a screen behind the performers.

Tickets can be purchased on the night, booked through the NCEM website or via Eventbrite.

Headliners for this year include Kiran Wade and Colly Metcalfe; they are supported by local poets Val Horner, Lauren Ruddock, Elmien Wolvaardt, and F R Kesby. Fay Roberts, performance poet, musician, storyteller, voice actor, and Edinburgh Free Fringe spoken word artistic director, co-hosts with York poet Rose Drew; our BSL interpreters are Dave Wycherley and Vicci Ackroyd.
