Sad Poets Doorstep Club
Sad Poets Doorstep Club is a queer & trans-run mental health-themed poetry open mic currently based at the Portal Bookshop in York. Their aim is to encourage, promote and connect marginalised poets in the scene, provide a space for the darker elements of performance poetry and stoke the fires of creativity in York, and online (when they get back there!). It runs every first Thursday from 6-9pm.
Northern Beat Poets Association
Northern Beat Poets Association are a community of lyricists, writers and musicians with an interest in combining music with poetry. The outfit are releasing ten limited edition album/books by ten different artists via Bandcamp.
